The summit will take place at The New York Academy of Sciences' Headquarters, located at:

The majority of field trips will take place at offsite locations in the New York region, but students will travel in groups with a NYAS staff member to these locations and will leave together from the NYAS headquarters.


All high school and college age students and all mentors from the GSA programs will receive invitations to register for the Summit. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Registration will open in early 2017. Please contact your program manager for more information.


New York has three main airports through which millions of people pass each year.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

JFK, in Queens (at the south end of the Van Wyck Expressway), primarily handles international flights.

LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

LaGuardia, also in Queens (on the Grand Central Parkway), mainly handles domestic flights. If you're flying in from anywhere in the U.S., chances are you'll come through here. Particular exceptions include Continental Airlines.

Newark International Airport (EWR)

Newark, in Newark, New Jersey, handles both domestic and international flights. It's a bit further from the city than the other two airports, but it is generally less crowded and has more modern facilities.
